On Thursday morning, August 23rd, a 59-year-old man suffered critical injuries after having his throat slashed at Sixth and Mission Streets in San Francisco. According to police, the victim sustained a life-threatening injury to his neck. As of Thursday morning, the individual who stabbed the man had not been located. The victim’s name was not mentioned in news reports.
Police believe the suspect is a man in his 50s, and asked that anyone with information about the crime contact the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.
There was no known motive for the crime at the time it took place. The victim was found bleeding from the neck and taken to San Francisco General Hospital. The suspect allegedly ran before police arrived on the scene.
