Saturday, August 25 is when a deputy sheriff arrested 43-year-old Aaron Tadday following a motorcycle chase through a neighborhood in San Carlos. Tadday is a suspected burglar and was recently arrested for more than twenty burglaries in San Carlos and Redwood City. The suspect was out on bail awaiting trial for the burglaries, all felony crimes.

The San Carlos deputy spotted Tadday riding his motorcycle without a helmet; when he attempted to stop Tadday after turning his vehicle around, the suspect refused to stop although the deputy had activated his siren and emergency lights. As the chase continued from the 2100 block of Eaton Avenue to the 200 block of Kelton Avenue, Tadday threw an object under a car that was parked, according to the deputy. He then accelerated and the chase continued until Tadday reached his residence, where the deputy claims Tadday violently resisted arrest and had to be physically removed from the bike.

The object that was thrown under the parked car during the chase was found to be a glass smoking pipe. Several South County region sheriff’s deputies joined in the search for the object, and assisted in the arrest of Tadday.

The suspect was taken to the Maguire Correctional Facility after being arrested on numerous new offenses including reckless driving, resisting arrest, destruction of evidence, felony evading and commission of a felony while on bail. Tadday’s father was arrested and placed in the same facility after being charged with interfering with a peace officer while performing his/her duties.
